Is it just joint pain or Amavat

🔍 What is Amavata?
Amavata is an Ayurvedic condition caused by the accumulation of Ama (undigested toxins) in the body, which combines with Vata dosha and gets lodged in joints and tissues.
This leads to symptoms like:
🔹 Pain and swelling in multiple joints
🔹 Morning stiffness
🔹 Loss of appetite
🔹 Body ache and fatigue
🔹 Sometimes mild fever
It is closely similar to Rheumatoid Arthritis, but Ayurveda views it as a systemic disorder starting from poor digestion.
⚠️ Why Does Amavata Happen?
Root Causes:
Weak digestion (Agnimandya)
Irregular, heavy, or incompatible foods
Sedentary lifestyle
Suppressed natural urges
Excessive stress or exposure to cold
🌿 Ayurvedic Management Approach
Ayurveda doesn’t just treat joint pain — it removes the root cause (Ama) and restores balance in the body.
🔸 1. Pachana & Deepana
Stimulates digestion and burns Ama
Herbs: Dry Ginger (Shunthi), Pippali, Trikatu
🔸 2. Swedana (Sudation)
Steam therapy to relieve stiffness and mobilize toxins
🔸 3. Snehana & Basti (Oil Therapies)
Internal and external oleation + medicated enemas
Especially effective for balancing Vata
🔸 4. Shodhana (Detox Therapies)
Panchakarma cleansing, especially Virechana and Basti
🔸 5. Herbal Medicines
Simhanada Guggulu
Rasna Saptaka Kwatha
